A little about the family-run team at Newport Quay B&B
About the family
At Newport Quay B&B, we are proud to say that we are a family-run business.
We understand the needs of our guests as we have frequently sampled the service as customers ourselves, both locally and abroad.
Since we acquired the property in 2016, it has been our continuous aim to deliver the hospitality that you would expect.

Our location
We are situated in the historic heart of Newport, Isle of Wight on a wide, quiet street just off the high street, and only a 5 minute walk away from the Island’s Central bus station, which can take you to any desired locations around the Island.
Due to the historic character of the area, we have no parking on the premises. There are, however, ample parking available on the street and in nearby council car parks, which includes disabled, motorcycle and EV charging spaces. Please note, that it is metre-paid parking offered by the Isle of Wight Council.
If you walk another 100 metres in the other direction, you will find yourself at the Quay which fronts the tidal Medina river; an Island favourite for starting the long river walk up to East Cowes.
Included Extras
As standard, we believe that your stay with us should be as comfortable as possible, and for the price you pay to book; nothing more.
To accommodate that notion, we have included what would be seen as ‘extras’ when booking elsewhere, as standard when staying with us at Newport Quay B&B.
These include a choice of a ‘continental style’ breakfast, free Wi-Fi, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities in your room, and hand wash, shampoo and body wash.
Character
The building is 17th Century Grade II Listed and retained some of the original features. You can relax in our guest lounge with its original Victorian wood panelled walls, exposed beams and impressive fireplace. We have a small rear courtyard which really catches the sun and is a pleasant place to relax.
Unfortunately, due to this nature of the building, we are unable to offer disabled access into the building or any of the rooms. Some of the rooms are also not easily accessible if you are unable to climb stairs.
So please contact us should you have any questions regarding access before booking and we will do our best to assess and help you where possible.
